Ingredients

1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (can be store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon ginger powder

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Add the salmon bites to the bowl and gently toss them to ensure they are evenly coated. Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes; for best results, cover the bowl and refrigerate for up to 1 hour to deepen the flavors.

Prepare the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C), allowing it to heat for about 5 minutes for optimal cooking.

Coat the Salmon: After marination, take the salmon bites from the marinade and let any excess drip off. In a separate bowl, sprinkle the cornstarch over the salmon pieces and toss them gently until well-coated. This coating will help achieve a delightful crispy texture.

Arrange in Air Fryer: Carefully place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart for even cooking. If necessary, work in batches depending on your air fryer's capacity.

Air Fry: Cook the salmon bites at 400°F (200°C) for 7-9 minutes. Halfway through the cooking process, flip the bites to promote even crispiness. The salmon should be golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) when fully cooked.

Serve: Once cooked, delicately remove the crispy teriyaki salmon bites from the air fryer. Garnish them with a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped green onions for an added touch of flavor and visual appeal.

Enjoy: Serve the salmon bites warm, accompanied by extra teriyaki sauce for dipping, and pair with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables for a satisfying and complete meal!
