Ingredients
  

  • 400 g firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 pieces green onions
  • 1 serving cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 serving steamed vegetables

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Tofu: Begin by pressing the tofu for about 20-30 minutes to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top. Once pressed, cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
  • Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, honey, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  • Marinate the Tofu: Place the cubed tofu into the marinade, making sure each piece is well-coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes. For best results, marinate for up to an hour in the fridge.
  • Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375 for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Cook the Tofu: Place the marinated tofu into the air fryer basket in a single layer. You might need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tofu cubes.
  • Air Fry: Cook the tofu at 375 for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The tofu should be golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • Serve: Once cooked, transfer the tofu to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm over cooked rice or quinoa alongside steamed vegetables.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the heat level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
