Avocado Tuna Salad Wraps

1 can (5 oz) tuna, well-drained

1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted

1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional for creaminess)

1 tablespoon Greek yogurt (or additional mayonnaise)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard for a zesty kick

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 small celery stalk, finely chopped for crunch

2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped for flavor

1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley, finely chopped for herbaceousness

4 large lettuce leaves (romaine or butter lettuce work best)

Optional toppings: sliced cucumbers, halved cherry tomatoes, microgreens, or sprouts for extra texture and freshness

Instructions
 

Prepare the Tuna Mixture: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the drained tuna and diced avocado. If using mayonnaise, incorporate it with the Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Using a fork, mash the avocado until it's well blended with the tuna; feel free to leave some pieces chunky for added texture.

    Add Vegetables and Season: Gently fold in the finely chopped celery, red onion, and your choice of fresh herbs. Season the mixture generously with salt and freshly cracked pepper. Mix everything until all ingredients are well combined and the flavors meld together.
