Chili Lime Chicken with Avocado Salsa

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

2 ripe avocados, diced into small cubes

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 medium ripe tomato, diced

1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely minced (optional for heat)

Juice of 1 lime

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped

Marinate the Chicken: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime zest, lime juice, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper until well combined. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or for up to 2 hours for a more intense flavor.

    Prepare the Avocado Salsa: While the chicken marinates, prepare the avocado salsa.
