8 oz (225g) pasta (penne or fettuccine recommended)

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced into bite-sized pieces

2 cups fresh broccoli florets, trimmed

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Cook the Pasta and Broccoli: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. For the last 3 minutes of cooking, carefully add the broccoli florets to the pot. Once done, drain both the pasta and broccoli, setting them aside.
