Ingredients

  • 1.0 can refrigerated crescent dough
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2.0 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1.0 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon allspice
  • 1.0 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1.0 tablespoon fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.0 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, for a sweet topping)
  • 1.0 tablespoon coarse sea salt (for sprinkling, optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Herb Butter: In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, chopped rosemary, chopped sage, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll Out Crescent Dough: Open the can of crescent dough and carefully unroll it on a clean, flat surface. If the dough is perforated, separate it along the lines to form triangles.
  • Spread the Herb Butter: Take a generous amount of the pumpkin spice herb butter mixture and spread it evenly over each triangle of crescent dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Roll the Crescents: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll the dough up towards the tip, creating a crescent shape. Place each rolled crescent on the prepared baking sheet, point side down.
  • Optional Sweet Topping: If desired, sprinkle a small pinch of brown sugar and a touch of coarse sea salt on top of each crescent for an added sweet and savory flavor.
  • Bake the Crescents: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and flaky.
  • Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the crescents from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack. Serve warm and enjoy the festive flavors!

Notes

Optional brown sugar and sea salt can enhance flavor.
