Ingredients

4 cups water

4 black tea bags (or substitute with green tea bags for a lighter flavor)

1 ripe mango, peeled and diced

2 ripe passionfruits (or 1/2 cup passionfruit puree)

1/4 cup sugar (adjust according to your sweetness preference)

1/4 cup fresh lime juice

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Lime slices for garnish

Instructions

Boil Water: Begin by bringing 4 cups of water to a vigorous boil in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove the pan from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes—adjust steeping time based on your taste preference for strength.

Prepare Fruit Mixture: While the tea is steeping, take a blender and combine the diced mango, the scooped pulp from the passionfruits (or passionfruit puree), and sugar. Blend until you achieve a smooth consistency or leave it slightly chunky for added texture, based on your preference.

Combine Tea and Fruit: After the tea has steeped to your liking, carefully remove the tea bags and let the tea cool for about 10 minutes. Once it has cooled, gently stir in the fruit mixture along with the fresh lime juice until combined.

Chill: Transfer the tea and fruit mixture into a large pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill completely and allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Serve: When ready to serve, fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled mango passionfruit iced tea over the ice. A bright touch of color and freshness can be added by garnishing each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lime.

Enjoy: Before taking a sip, give the iced tea a gentle stir to incorporate the fruit pulp. Then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the delightful tropical flavors!
