Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp black pepper

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's hot enough for baking.

Prepare the Crescent Dough: On a clean surface, carefully unroll the crescent roll dough. Separate it into 8 individual triangles, laying them flat with the wide end facing you.

Mix the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried oregano, and black pepper. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and evenly coated.

Fill the Crescents: Take about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture and place it at the wide end of each crescent triangle.

Roll and Seal: Gently roll each triangle from the wide end towards the pointed tip, forming a crescent shape. Pinch the edges tightly to seal the filling inside.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place each rolled crescent bite onto the sheet, ensuring they have some space between them to avoid sticking during baking.

Bake Until Golden: Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent bites are golden brown and puffed up.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, allow the bites to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if you wish to add a touch of color and flavor.

                  Prep Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 25 mins | Servings: 8

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange the baked bites on a serving platter, perhaps with a small bowl of marinara sauce in the center for dipping, and sprinkle a few extra parmesan shavings on top for an elegant touch.
