Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cups fresh or frozen broccoli florets

1 cup uncooked brown or white rice

1 can (15 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup

2 cups beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brown the Beef: In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Cook for 5-7 minutes, using a spoon to break up the meat, until it is browned and no longer pink.

Add Rice and Broth: Once the beef is cooked through, stir in the uncooked rice and pour in the beef broth. Bring this mixture to a gentle simmer, then lower the heat, cover the skillet, and let it cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the rice to absorb some of the broth.

Incorporate the Broccoli: After 10 minutes, add the broccoli florets and the entire can of condensed cheddar cheese soup to the skillet. Stir everything together thoroughly, ensuring the rice is evenly distributed and absorbs the flavors from the broth and soup.

Cheesy Top Layer: Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole mixture.

Bake: Carefully transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake uncovered for about 25-30 minutes. You want the cheese to be melted, bubbly, and golden brown. For an extra crispy top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close watch to prevent burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes. If using, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a pop of color. Serve your cheesy beef and broccoli casserole hot, and enjoy!

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 4-6

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the casserole directly from the skillet for a rustic look, or scoop portions onto individual plates and garnish with extra parsley for added freshness.
