Ingredients

For the Salmon:

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh lemon slices, for garnish

For the Dill Yogurt Sauce:

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 small garlic clove, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for your salmon.

      Prepare the Salmon:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup. Arrange the salmon fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down. Drizzle each fillet with olive oil, then generously sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Use your fingers to rub the seasonings into the flesh of the fish, ensuring an even coating for maximum flavor.

          Bake the Salmon:

Place the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on it; the salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork and appears opaque throughout.

              Make the Dill Yogurt Sauce:

While the salmon bakes, prepare the creamy dill yogurt sauce. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

                  Serve:

When the salmon has finished baking, carefully remove it from the oven. Place each fillet on serving plates and generously spoon the dill yogurt sauce over the top or serve it on the side for dipping. Garnish the dish with fresh lemon slices and extra dill for a vibrant touch.

                      Enjoy:

For a delightful meal, pair your zesty salmon with roasted seasonal vegetables or a crisp green salad, and enjoy the burst of flavors coming together!
